Otherwise it's a nightmare! Mind you I've bought loads on the internet and it hasn't yet arrived!

As for round robins I never write one but we used to get one from Aussie relatives about the perfect children and all their magnificent accomplishments and we used to hoot with laughter every Christmas. Then the children grew up and came visiting and it turned out their mother had been underplaying things somewhat.

It's not that bad is it Lins? I promise I haven't bought you notelets! And we've got our long-promised dose of Daniel Craig to look forward to after Christmas. xxxx

Maggie Christiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16047691937064748860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2769126656250104754.post-26078476199105847082012-12-21T06:15:37.304+00:002012-12-21T06:15:37.304+00:00"Rugby scrum without a ball." I hate round robins as well, although I don't actually believe the guff about perfect lives - if anyone thinks that there is such a thing, then they are in for a very rude awakening one day!
The day itself - I absolutely love it. I love the days of cold turkey - no decision needed about what to cook! And I love January - peace to read, plan the garden, plan the year.
